A good way to control the inflammation is by sticking on to a healthy diet. Adhering to the right diet can help you to reduce your rheumatology symptoms to a great extent and thereby enabling you to live a good life.

There are some foods that can worsen your rheumatology arthritis, hence it is important to control or avoid them from your diet. Following are some of such foods that can trigger your rheumatology symptoms.

Fats and Oils

These are processed foods that are chemically altered by adding different ingredients. They can increase the inflammatory response of your body and thereby worsening your rheumatology symptoms. Hydrogenated oils, trans fats, saturated fats, etc. are such food items that you should avoid from your diet.

Some cooking oils like vegetable oils and canola oils, etc. go through a process called hydrogenation where hydrogen atoms are added to them for altering their state; hence, it can lead to an unbalanced diet.

Saturated fats are usually found in processed foods and are referred to as unhealthy fats. The digestion of these fats can trigger fat tissue inflammation. Trans fats that are also found in processed foods can also stimulate inflammation thereby worsening your rheumatology arthritis.

Red and Processed Meats

Processed meats usually involve preservatives, hormones, artificial ingredients, and many other additives. Such chemical ingredients can cause adverse reactions in your body and will create inflammation in people with rheumatology arthritis.

It is better to avoid processed meats such as pepperoni and bacon, etc. that has been cooked using hydrogenated oils. They also contain saturated as well as trans fats.

Dairy Products

An element called casein makes it difficult for some people to digest milk products. Hence, it is better to avoid products that have whey protein ingredients which often contain casein. Also, it may help you to reduce inflammation if you avoid baked goods like cakes, cookies, bread, crackers, etc. that contain added milk.

To include dairy products in your diet, choose low-fat options that have less saturated fat instead of whole milk products. This may be helpful to reduce inflammation also.

Sugar

Sugar is a common ingredient in most processed foods and comes in different forms. Sugars called glucose and fructose are refined sugar-based ingredients and can result in inflammation when they are digested by your body. These sugars can activate inflammatory messengers in your body known as cytokines. Hence, avoid foods like soda, french fries, bread, etc. that have these types of sugars.
